Can I continue to enjoy roaming data if I do not re-purchase?When your “Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack” has '0' days remaining, an SMS notification will be sent to you. Simply reply to the message accordingly to re-purchase “Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack” and continue to enjoy the service. If you do not wish to purchase, data roaming usage will be charged at the standard day rate of “Multi-day Roaming Data Pack”.

Can I continue to go online with full speed after daily data usage reaches 1.2GB?Yes. You will receive an SMS after 1.2GB of full-speed data usage, if you need to continue going online at full speed, simply reply to the SMS to top up 600MB or 1.2GB of full-speed data. If you do not wish to top up, the speed will be adjusted to a maximum of 512kbps. You can still use WhatsApp, Google Maps and such smoothly.

Why can’t I access certain apps while using roaming data?All apps that can be used in Hong Kong can also be used when using the SmarTone data roaming service. If the app sets regional restrictions on Hong Kong, customers can’t access certain apps even if the customer is in an unrestricted area. For details, please contact the app’s developer.

What are the charges of "Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack“?“Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack” is charged on a per-day-per-destination basis. “One day entitlement” will be deducted for each day of data roaming usage per destination. "Each day" is defined as 00:00 to 23:59 local time of the visited destination. For destinations with multiple time zones, the time of the capital of the visited destination will prevail. Moreover, "Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack" supports in-flight roaming, a day of entitlement will be deducted for its use. If you use in-flight roaming and data roaming upon arrival on the same day, a total of two days will be deducted. -

You also have the option to temporarily suspend the use of the "Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack" through the CARE App, according to your needs. This will allow you to use "Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack". -
If I have other roaming products in my account, what is the deduction sequence of those roaming products?Data usage generated in applicable destinations will be deducted from eligible products in your account in the order of deduction sequence or incur additional charges.

Why can't add-on SIM users of family plans subscribe to "Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack"?To protect our customers, we will only confirm the purchase of "Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack" from the primary cardholder. Primary cardholder and add-on SIM users can share the use of the service. If add-on SIM users wish to purchase, simply contact the primary cardholder.

After purchasing "Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack", can all users on my family plan use it?Yes. Add-on SIM users simply have to register for "Multi-day Roaming Data Pack" to share the use of "Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack" with primary cardholder. If two numbers are using roaming data at the same time, two days of entitlement will be deducted.
- Multi-day Roaming Data Pack :
- Data Roaming Day Pass must be activated / switched upon purchase of Multi-day Roaming Data Pack. For more details of Data Roaming Day Pass, please click here. (Where applicable) If customer has previously configured to suspend the data roaming service, upon subscription to Data Pass, it represents that the customer agrees to re-enable the relevant configurations to use the data roaming service.
- APAC Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack & Worldwide Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack shall be valid for 3 months from the day of successful purchase. 1 Data Pass can be deducted to offset 1 daily charge of Data Roaming Day Pass at designated destinations. Data Pass is not required to be used on consecutive days.
- When daily data usage reaches 1.2GB in a destination, the data speed will be capped at 512kbps. An SMS notification will be sent to the customer, who may reply to the SMS to purchase additional full speed roaming data at the prevailing rate.
- (If applicable) If a customer purchases other Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack (regardless of the region(s) and purchase dates), the validity period of all Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack will be extended to the latest expiry date. For the validity period, please refer to the SmarTone CARE App or check with our service assistant.
- The validity of the expired Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack cannot be extended under any circumstances.
- (If applicable) If customer has purchased more than one Data Pass for different groups of destinations, then priority of deduction will be according to the location of actual use as follows: 1) Mainland/Macau Roaming Data Pass, 2) Asia Pacific Roaming Data Pass, 3) Worldwide Roaming Data Pass
- The unused Data Pass will be automatically forfeited after the expiry date. If the number of days of Data Roaming Day Pass used by the customer exceeds the number of Data Pass owned by the customer; or if the customer uses Data Roaming Day Pass in non-designated destinations, the customer will be charged at the regular price of Data Roaming Day Pass.
- (Family Plan/ Designated 5G Service Plan) Data Pass is only available to main SIM mobile number under designated service plan. After successful purchase, all registered mobile numbers under the same service plan must activate / switch on Data Roaming Day Pass and Roaming service to enjoy Data Pass upon subscription from main SIM. If 2 mobile numbers under the same service plan use Data Pass at the same time, 2 days would be deducted from the Data Pass.
- Data Pass cannot be used in conjunction with designated DataRoam services, Greater Bay Area Easy Pack & China Macau Data Pack.
- One day of in-flight roaming is defined as 00:00 to 23:59 HK time. One day entitlement will be charged for in-flight roaming usage. Only applicable to selected flights. For details, please visit https://www.aeromobile.net/airlines/.
- The daily service of “Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack” is provided by “Data Roaming Day Pass” and is subject to relevant terms and conditions. For details, please refer to T&C-I025.
- The coverage and charges of Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack are subject to change from time to time.
- The company reserves the right to vary, modify or terminate the contents of this promotion, as well as to amend any of the relevant terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice. The company's decision and record shall be final in case of any dispute.
- From 30 April to 1 June 2025 (or such other date that may be otherwise determined by SmarTone) (both days inclusive) (the “Offer Period”), customers of SmarTone who are main SIM cardholders and purchase the designated Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack at CARE App such designated Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack (the “Eligible Customer”) are eligible to receive one (1) Free Pass (the “Offer”). Each Eligible Customer can only enjoy the Offer once during the Offer Period. For the avoidance of doubt, persons who are not registered with SmarTone are not eligible for the Offer. “SmarTone” means SmarTone Mobile Communications Limited. Designated Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack means the following Multi-Day Roaming Data Packs at HK$218 (7 Days APAC), HK$288 (7 Days Worldwide) and HK$518 (14 Days Worldwide).
- The Free Pass provides four (4) days of data roaming day pass and is valid for activation for three (3) months from the date the Eligible Customer receives the Free Pass (the “Validity Period”) and is applicable for use only in designated destinations (i.e., Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia). If any data roaming day pass of Free Pass has not been activated during the Validity Period, it shall automatically expire and become invalid. The Validity Period of any such data roaming day pass or Free Pass cannot be extended under any circumstances.
- (If applicable) If any Eligible Customer has purchased more than one roaming product, the deduction on usage of roaming data shall follow the following deduction sequence:

- Eligible Customers agree that this Offer, the Free Pass and any such data roaming day pass provided are for their own personal use and cannot be resold or exchanged for cash, vouchers, goods or services.
- One day of data roaming day pass will be deducted to offset one daily use at each designated destination. One day is defined as 00:00-23:59 local time. For any designated destination with multiple time zones, the time of the capital of the designated destination will prevail. The data roaming day pass provided by this Free Pass is not required to be used on consecutive days.

- The Free Pass is calculated based on the original data roaming pass fee of HK$78/4 days after a rebate of HK$78 offered to the eligible customers.

- SmarTone reserves the right to terminate or suspend the Offer or the entitlement to the Offer without notice if (a) it is in the opinion of SmarTone providing the Offer would cause it to be in breach of any applicable law, requirement of any competent authority or internal policy; (b) the Eligible Customer’s mobile service with SmarTone has been suspended or otherwise terminated; (c) SmarTone discovers or reasonably suspects that (i) any information which the Eligible Customer provides is inaccurate, incomplete, false or misleading in any respect; and/or (ii) the Eligible Customer might have participated in any illegal, fraudulent, suspicious, deceptive, abusive or unfair behaviours or reselling or otherwise breaching the terms and conditions of SmarTone or applicable laws and regulations.
- SmarTone reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. This Offer is subject to change and is available on a first-come-first-served basis with limited availability. If SmarTone believes that any Eligible Customer has acted in an abusive manner, SmarTone may terminate their entitlement to enjoy the Offer. In case of any dispute related to this Offer or these Terms and Conditions, SmarTone reserves the final decision. The Offer is also subject to SmarTone Terms and Conditions.
- SmarTone shall in no event be responsible for anything arising from any unauthorized use to any Eligible Customer’s SmarTone mobile service account at any given time including any fees or charges so incurred and shall in no event be liable for any suspension or termination of the Offer.

- During the Offer Period, Eligible Customer shall receive an SMS notification after completing the purchase of a designated Multi-Day Roaming Data Pack through the CARE App. Any such Eligible Customer can only redeem one (1) "Travel Spare SIM" for their mobile service line per redemption within three (3) months from the date the Eligible Customer receives such SMS notification. The "Travel Spare SIM" is valid for activation for three (3) months upon redemption (the “Validity Period”). If the “Travel Spare SIM" has not been activated during the Validity Period, it shall automatically expire and become invalid. Each Eligible Customer must be an existing SmarTone customer upon redemption. For verification purposes, Eligible Customers must, upon redemption, present the original SMS notification and their original personal identification documents first registered with SmarTone to the satisfaction of SmarTone at any SmarTone physical store to complete the redemption. Photocopy or screenshot of such SMS notification shall not be accepted.
- To activate the “Spare Travel SIM”, the Eligible Members must complete the identity verification and activation procedures (which may be subject to change by SmarTone from time to time) and agree with the use of his/her personal data for this purpose. For details regarding the privacy policy of SmarTone, please visit Privacy Policy. Once the “Spare Travel SIM” is successfully activated: (a) the mobile service plan under the old SIM shall be swapped into such new SIM (i.e. mobile number has not been changed) and T&C 01 and other applicable terms and conditions continue to apply, including but not limited to the limitation of liability (Clause 14) and lost or stolen communication equipment and/or SIM card (Clause 11); and (b) after such swap, the old SIM is automatically deactivated.
- Each Eligible Customers can only hold one (1) "Travel Spare SIM" for activation during the Offer Period. SmarTone is not liable to replace, reissue or provide additional "Travel Spare SIM" in the event of loss, theft, damage or misuse of the "Travel Spare SIM".
- If any Eligible Customer who redeems a “Travel Spare SIM” and, prior to the activation of such “Travel Spare SIM”, successfully ports out his/her SmarTone mobile service or such mobile service has been otherwise terminated for whatever reason, the “Travel Spare SIM” shall also expire at the time of such termination.
- Eligible Customers agree that (a) they must at all times keep the “Spare Travel SIM” secure and (b) this Offer and the "Travel Spare SIM" are for their own personal use and cannot be resold or exchanged for cash, vouchers, goods or services.
